The roots of Axxence Aromatic GmbH lie in Düsseldorf, Germany, where in 1976 Contemporary Perfumers Ltd. (CPL), UK fragrance manufacturer, started a sales office in Germany.New life was put into this company in 1990, when CPL acquired the business of Joost van Neck. Joost had started his company, dealing in NATURAL AROMA CHEMICALS, a few years earlier. CPL Group (Deutschland) GmbH was founded in Emmerich, close to the Dutch-German border. The company was renamed H.E.Daniel (International), when CPL acquired the ingredients company H.E. Daniel Ltd. (UK) in 1991.During the following years this company grew the business considerably as a member of the CPL-Group. Its principal focus continued to be on NATURAL FLAVOURING INGREDIENTS.Late 1997 Axxence Aromatic GmbH was born, after CPL and Joost decided to part company. That same year the French affiliate company Axxence SARL, Grasse began its activity. In order to adequately respond to the desires of our multinational clients, the global flavour compounding industry, we hold extensive stock of our key products both in Emmerich, Gemany and in Cincinnati, USA.Our position of prime European supplier of NATURAL FLAVOURING INGREDIENTS has taken us a few years ago to the plan of building a state-of-the-art R&D facility and factory in Slovakia.
